These terms explain how you can use our website, what we do and don't do, and your responsibilities when you use it.
1. About these terms
These terms apply to your use of solarwholesale.com.au (the "site"), operated by Advanced All Energy Pty Ltd (ABN 51 633 806 818), trading as Solar Wholesale ("we", "us", "our"). By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
When you buy equipment from us, our Terms and Conditions of Sale also apply. How we handle your personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy. Electricians and suppliers who use the site are covered by separate agreements with us.
2. How Solar Wholesale works
- Equipment from us. We sell solar panels, inverters and batteries at wholesale prices, with eligible government rebates taken off the price.
- Installation from an independent electrician. Licensed local electricians quote to install your system. When you accept a quote, your contract for the installation is directly with that electrician, on the terms of their quote. Electricians are independent businesses, not our employees or agents, and we do not supervise their work.
- You pay the electrician directly, on completion of the job, for the installation, as set out in their quote. We do not collect payment for the installation.
3. Estimates and information on the site
System sizes, prices shown before you receive an invoice, rebate amounts, savings, roof layouts and other estimates are a guide only. They are based on the information you give us and on assumptions (for example, average electricity prices), and your actual results will vary. They are not financial advice.
Product information, datasheets and warranty documents come from manufacturers. We take care to keep information accurate, but we do not guarantee it is complete or error-free, and it may change without notice.
4. Your account and sign-in links
We sign you in using links sent to your email address. Keep access to your email secure and do not share your links, because anyone with a link can access your quote. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us straight away if you think your account has been misused.
5. Your responsibilities
When you use the site, you agree to:
- give us accurate and complete information about yourself, your property and your electricity use;
- only upload photos and documents you have the right to share;
- only arrange work at a property you own, or where you have the owner's permission;
- not misuse the site, including by copying or scraping content, interfering with its security or operation, submitting false jobs or enquiries, or sending spam;
- comply with all applicable laws.
6. Rebates, STCs and paperwork
The prices we show already have government rebates deducted, including small-scale technology certificates (STCs). STCs for your system are assigned to PGK Distributors Pty Ltd ATF PGK Distributors Unit Trust. To receive the rebate, you must sign and return all STC and rebate paperwork in full, and provide any information needed, when asked.
If the paperwork is not provided because you have not signed it in full, or the rebate is otherwise not approved because of something within your control, you must pay us the rebate amount. If that amount is more than 30 days overdue, you must also pay interest on it for each day after the 30 days, at the penalty interest rate fixed under the Penalty Interest Rates Act 1983 (Vic). Full details are in our Terms and Conditions of Sale.
7. Electricians and suppliers
We check electricians' licences, accreditation and insurance before they can quote, but we do not guarantee their work. We may approve, suspend or remove any electrician or supplier from the site at our discretion, for example if their licence or insurance lapses, we receive complaints, or they do not respond to jobs.
8. Intellectual property
The site and its content are owned by us or our licensors. Manufacturer names, logos and product documents belong to their owners. You may view and print pages for your own personal use, but must not copy, reproduce or use our content for commercial purposes without our written permission.
9. Third-party services and links
The site uses third-party services, such as Stripe for payments and Google Maps for addresses and roof layouts, and links to other websites, such as manufacturers' sites. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for their content or availability.
10. Availability and changes to the site
We aim to keep the site available, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it at any time.
11. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.
Subject to that, and to the extent permitted by law:
- we are not liable for the work, advice, acts or omissions of electricians, which is their responsibility under your contract with them;
- we are not liable for any loss arising from your reliance on estimates or general information on the site;
- we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, savings, energy production or data;
- where our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee in relation to services can be limited, it is limited to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again.
12. Suspending your access
We may suspend or end your access to the site if you breach these terms or misuse the site.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with its effective date at the top. By continuing to use the site, you accept the updated terms.
